By the statistics on my site, I was twenty-eight people short of 10,000 listeners for the month of August. Not too shabby for the kid of a sanitation worker. The Urban Shooter Podcast is an extension of my mission to show people a positive side to firearms ownership, advocate social responsibility and goodwill in a world hell bent on negatives and destruction. Podcasting, or broadcasting through the internet aimed at iPods and downloadable media players has been my passion since 2007. It scratched an itch I had to be in broadcasting. I used to narrate my own comic books and record my sound effects onto a reel to reel recorder my dad gave me that still worked. Sometimes I got good junk.
A quick perusal over the many pro-gun podcast will net you some really talented and knowledgeable folks. Some will put you to sleep, some will piss you off with their arrogance, some will make you scratch your head and some fall in between. I probably do all of those on occasions but every now and then I get it right. As the seasons change and folks learn more about the amazing capabilities of their cell phones and favorite MP3 players I hope to crack the 10K mark in September entertaining, sharing information and introducing new stuff to new friends. Yay!!
