Back in the day, before I was born, the NRA was big on making sure US military personnel were better marksman. I want to return to that small but forgotten piece of the pie. I would like to nurture and take care of military personnel involved in the shooting sports in more than one way. I want to get competitions going within the services, Army vs. Marines, (though that is unfair), Airmen vs. Sailors (still not fair) so that through local competitions, active duty and veterans service personnel also have a link to the “civvy” world when they get out for networking, security, family etc. No one understands the grief you get when the world you lived in changes, or you change and you have to adapt to “the world”. I’ll be reaching into my address book of friends that have served to get the ball rolling. Their job is to find people that want to participate and start smaller groups of the Urban Shooter Association on the base or in their area and then will hold parties, and shoots that promote the shooting sports and provide networking and fellowship opportunities for like minded military.
