“Just A Touch Of Love, A Little Bit” by Bones Hooks.

Hey Kenn,
ALways enjoying the podcasts while at work. Had to comment on the Attucks editorial. Not to rain on the parade, but I live across the river from Boston and have spent a number of years doing colonial reenactments, including the “Massacre”.
There is alot of misinformation out there about Attucks (don’t always trust the Wik) and an obvious effort to raise him up to hero status.
Unfortunately, what I have learned over the years is somewhat different than what we learn in school history. Later attempts at reading the autopsy reports (the detail drawings of the “crime scene” were pretty informative), show that he was indeed shot twice, but one of the rounds was a pass through from someone else, as the it had a different angle exit trajectory from the entrance wound that would be expected. Rounds back then didn’t deflect off bone, unless they had lost sufficient energy previously.
And based on your reading of the Wik, he headed up to the area to cause trouble and attacked a soldier with a stick. Is it a surprise he got shot? The crowd was there to cause trouble, basically from the rope walkers as there had been a previous fight between them and the soldiers over jobs. The rope walkers were there to even the score and the two soldiers that actually were convicted of manslaughter meant to kill who they killed.
History isn’t as simple as we want to believe sometime, but its a good story anyway.
Keep up the good work.
