About

This is a listener supported variety show podcast for all law abiding gun owners, air-soft, air-gun, and paintball enthusiasts of the city hosted by author, instructor and activist, Kenn Blanchard.  The weekly shows share grassroots information on what’s going on, mixed with humor, guest interviews, commentary, gun safety, marksmanship and listener feedback.

ur · ban – of, pertaining to, or designating a city or town.

shoot·er -a person or thing that shoots.

pod·cast- a combination of the words iPod and broadcast.

Podcasting is a way of publishing radio and video shows to the web so people can subscribe to an episode automatically via a (MP3, iPod) player or listen through their computer.  Through the subscription programs or aggregators that pick up RSS feeds; new shows can be uploaded automatically whenever available for free.

Unlike regular radio, a podcast is time-shifted, meaning that you have control over when and where you hear this fun show.  Advertising on this show is perpetual.  It never expires.  The iTunes site that belongs to Apple is the most popular aggregator but there are many others you can use.

Who is a Urban Shooter?  Anyone that wants to be.

United We Stand.

Gone are the days of spacious country sides and places where you can just plink your rifle or pistol without fear of the local SWAT or Sheriffs department coming down on you in black helicopters like a scene from a movie.

If you don’t live in rural America, and especially if you don’t look a certain way, some folks think something is wrong with you for wanting to own a gun.  We are users of indoor ranges and need to be up on the laws of the land to stay out of trouble in a gun phobic world.  The gun issue is huge.  It is bigger than it should be.  It gets politicians elected, ups the ratings on TV, and makes movies exciting.

Power To The People!

Using the National Public Radio model, this is a listener supported show.  The host accepts donations to be a local media source, a prayer partner, entertainment, inspirationalist and your brother from a different mother.  Supporters donate a dollar a week or $4 a month to keep the show growing, paying for hosting, registration, bandwidth, software and marketing.

Let the other guys do their thing this one belongs to US.  If you want to be a member of the Urban Shooter Association, join with the link below.  You can also make a one time donation if you so choose or send a check or money order to Kenn Blanchard, Post Office Box 2, Upper Marlboro, Maryland, 20773.
