Vision Statement:

“To be recognized as the premier social Gun Club in the world.

Mission Statement:

To enthusiastically promote firearm heritage, participate in the multiplicity of Shooting Sports and levels of competition, be presently active politically in Second Amendment and other parochial legislative action through educational development, rights organizations, firearms industry, and community activism at the Local, State, and Federal levels.

Values Statement:

We endeavor to live by the values penned and set forth by America’s founding fathers in “The Constitution of the United States and Bill of Rights”. We comprehend freedom not as a law, but a birthright and the foundation to enjoy all other pursuits. We believe in liberty and justice for all, as well as the right to live in a country ruled by laws distributed equally without prejudice. As a Club, we endeavor to embrace and impart the right to pursue happiness with honorable character, such as impartiality, trust, honesty, ethics, teamwork, goodwill, a sense of camaraderie, and American patriotism.

Membership

Membership is free but I am asking $58 annually from each member to help with the website, domain names, forums, software and equipment upgrades to keep the Urban Shooter presence updated. Also the money will be used for legal expenses to incorporate and take care of those type of expenses once we get enough funds. This is a grassroots movement to use media to share our combined knowledge and utilize the internet and the combined energy, talents and time to educate, entertain and enlighten each other about freedom, gun safety, the fun of shooting , law abiding gun ownership and personal responsibility.

Looking for friends that will share what’s’ going on in their area via the web to us all. The Urban Shooter Association (USA) will be open to all law abiding people legally able to own a firearm in their state of residence.

The Association will be look to form local chapters that will represent the whole in their area. This is a co-operative. It’s an old phrase that means an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet our common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise.

Chapter leaders must be approved by Kenn Blanchard to operate or the executive board (when formed) and must have organization skills as well as the temperament, ability and availability to keep track and report about the personnel and activity in their areas of responsibility.

Right now I operate a podcast called The Urban Shooter. I have a newsletter /email that will go out weekly looking for listener contributions, feedback, etc, that can provide the latest news, things of interest to US members to include humor, video, local activities regardless of your other affiliations. We are all members of other groups, state and local organizations but not all of us are appreciated, accepted, utilized or contribute to the cause in any way other than monetarily. You have a say here.

This is a volunteer army. In the beginning we will be more social than political. I want us to be holistic and touch on some issues overlooked by others. You won’t get paid but you will have the satisfaction of knowing that helped. Why? We couldn’t afford to pay what you are worth anyway. Each of us is more valuable to one another than we realize. If we were able to pay you, our focus would be on raising money more than on fun, enriching lives and saving our rights.

Principles

The USA’s Seven Principles are guidelines by which the Association places our values into practice.

1st Principle: Voluntary and Open Membership

This is a voluntary organization, open to all persons able to use our services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership, without gender, social, racial, political or religious discrimination.

2nd Principle: Democratic Member Control

This is a democratic organization controlled by its members, who actively participate in setting our policies and making decisions. Men and women serving as elected representatives are accountable to the membership. Members have equal voting rights (one member, one vote).

3rd Principle: Member Economic Participation

Members contribute equitably to, and democratically control, the capital of our co-op. At least part of that capital is usually the common property of the co-op. Members usually receive limited compensation, if any, on capital subscribed as a condition of membership. Members allocate surpluses for any or all of the following purposes: developing our co-op, possibly by setting up reserves, part of which at least would be indivisible; benefiting members in proportion to our transactions with the co-op; and supporting other activities approved by the membership.

4th Principle: Autonomy and Independence

This co-op is autonomous, a self-help organization controlled by our members. If we enter to agreements with other organizations, or raise capital from external sources, we will do so on terms that ensure democratic control by our members and maintain our co-op autonomy.

5th Principle: Education, Training and Information

We will provide education and training for our members, elected representatives, managers, and employees so they can contribute effectively to the development of our co-ops. We will inform the general public – particularly young people and opinion leaders – about the nature and benefits of co-operation.

6th Principle: Co-operation with other groups

The USA will serve our members most effectively and strengthen the pro-gun movement by working together through local, national, regional and international structures.

7th Principle: Concern for Community

The USA will work for the sustainable development of our communities through activities approved by our members.

And so, I am looking for leaders, advisors, legal assistance and directors; Writers, videographers, members, leaders, on air talent, correspondents, and affiliates wanted.

We will need money but will look for that from those in leadership to provide. The plan is to grow Team US to everywhere others have given up on.

What is the internet good for anyway? Answer: Communication. So why haven’t we used it in a focused arena before.

Let’s get this party started right! JOIN the Urban Shooter Association today.
